I have a new TL158-358swc mold that consistantly drops WW lead at .361. These WILL NOT chamber in any of me 38/357 revolvers. Lee states that this is in thier tolerance level. The cust service rep was super nice and offered to exchange it. He said he could send me mold that would drop smaller boolits.
Would you send it back.... or buy a sizer?? Just did not really want to size. Looking to load the fastest way, not really looking for pinpoint accuracy.
Thanks

Jeff

Hmmm,

You can send it back or you can sell it. It is a great size for rifles as we generally shoot boolits from .002 to .003 oversized. You would still need a mold though eh?

Jeff- Get a different one and sell the "fat" one here. You should get near your new price and you'll provide someone with a nice fat mould.

just realized that this got double posted, sorry. Yes I could/would sell it and yes, I would still need a mold.

There are always folks looking for a Fat mold on this forum. Have you thought about getting a LEE .358 or .359 sizing kit and trying it?? I know it kind of defeats the purpose of what the LEE TL Series is all about, but I run all my TL boolits through the LEE sizer for consistency.

Maybe someone would need a trade!

I would buy the sizer.

There may come a day you will be glad that you have the extra diameter if WW gets hard to obtain in the future. Or if someone dumps a ton of pure in your lap. Bet that drops to like .3595 with 20-1.

You can always size down, but it's a pain to go up.

Another option is to spray it with some mold prep. A couple coats make knock it down a thousanth or two.
