Mix 50/50 with Carnuba?

I have a few tubes of White Label 50/50 and a few of their Carunba. I've used 50/50 for a long time and it works just fine but frankly, I'm tired of sticky mess. I'd like to mix what I have left with the Carnuba to harden it up some. Please understand, I'm not getting into the lube business and not looking to "steal" a recipe but wondering if anybody else has done this and what would be a good ratio to try. After I run through this batch of 50/50, I'll stick to Carnuba (or BAC) for all by needs.

Their website says BAC is Carnauba Red and 50/50 mixed. I would just mix it one to one and use it up.

You may want to try adding a small amount of Carnauba Flakes that are sold by Randy Rat. I shoot nothing but Black Powder and the lube is on the sticky side. I tried adding some Carnauba Flakes, 3 Lee powder scoops with the .7 scoop. Add that amount to every 4 ounces.

Some years ago I had a similar situtation with BAC and C.Red. I melted 1 stick of BAC along with 2 sticks of C. Red. It wasn`t tacky like BAC is and works well without heat thru my lubers. I have driven boolets lubed with this mix from .357 mag. vels. up to mid 2000 fps vels. with no sign of leading.Robert

I have had good success pan lubing with 2 parts BAC and 1 part CR.

I too have added more C-Red to my BAC to decrease the stickiness of BAC, it works just fine for me. I add a 1/4 stick to the full BAC melt in a sauce pan and pour in the luber, just be careful not to over heat the mix or it will be ruined.
