View Full Version : Anyone try H332 or H335 in a 221 Fireball?

If you have experience with these powders and a 221 Fireball using a 40 grain jword like the Nosler grateful if you share your experiences.

H322 should be OK, but a little slow maybe. H335 probably would not be as good. 4198 is probably the first choice. I mostly shot 45 and 50 grain bullets in my .221s and 4198 always did the trick.

Yup, H335 or WC844 with a 40 gr Z-Max bullet is my load in the fireball. Makes it one of my most accurate rifles.

I have not loaded the .221 Fireball in a decade or so but my recollection is that RL 7 and 4198 are the two best powder options for the cartridge with jacketed bullets. TJ
