I picked up some moulds yesterday. One was a 412263 single cavity mold. PB, RN.

I have a 1-14 twist in my MGM 23" Contender barrel. Looking for a powder which will give me normal (36K) pressures and @ 1,100 fps in a rifle.

This is not a Freedom Arms, Dan Wesson, or Ruger revolver.

Apologies for dumping out earlier, had to go get some 91 octane pure gas at Casey's....

Please post results when possible. Been shooting 41s for 35+ years but never tried anything in the 300 gr weight range.
Have been trying to get a group buy together for a 250+ WFN from NOE. Drawings are posted in the Cast Boolits sub-forum in the "41 Magnum heavy-hitter options" thread.
Check it out if you've an interest in something heavier than normal with a large meplat... Would be serious medicine from a 23" barrel, I would think.

SSK 295 gr pb with 18 gr of 296 in an 8 /38 1304 fps
a slooooow 6'' DWA 1110fps with 19 of 296
18 gr was my best all around
both shot well and killed deer well

Erk. I usually associate SSK with "the edge". Any pressure tested loads to start off with?
