Lyman 1885 tang sight?

Does anyone know if the new lyman tang sights will work on the Uberti 1885 high wall and low wall. I know the hole spacing is correct but they only list them for the model 66,73 lever ubertis. Marbles makes one but I don't like their design. Only need it for hunting so not looking for a vernier target sight.

It has to be the right height and has to sit up at the right angle. Not all sights will interchange based on hole spacing alone. Hope someone can give you a yes or no on this. Good luck.

Yep - "Fit" depends upon the angle of the dangle (the rear tang's height & angle to the bore C/L).

The Lyman #2 tang peep sight designated for the Winchester Model 94 should fit.

To wit:

Since the Marble's Tang Peep Sight for the Uberti 1885 is the same part # as the sight designated for the Winchester 94, it follows that a Lyman #2 designated for the Win. M-94 also would likewise fit your Uberti 1885.
