Preferred Core Moulds

Hey guys, I've got a lot of scrap .380 brass laying about and thought I'd put them to good use making .357 jackets out of them. My question is what are your favorite methods of making your lead cores? Wadcutter moulds seem like a good multi purpose option although I've seen others use SWC slugs as cores also. Let me know what your opinion is, thanks!

My answer is invalid because I have not made any .357 bullets, but.
I would first try any .30 caliber molds already in my possession.

93 grain 32 cal Lee mold is a good one for .358 bullets. Combine with a cut 223 or 380 will give you awesome 145 grain bullet.

Thanks BT I'll give that a shot, I needed to pick up a .32 mold for reloading Nagant revolver rounds anyway so that'd be fantastic.

Should work out great. Here is the ones I made using the 93 grain core!

Used a 93 grain cast boolit core and got some good looking 146 grain JHP bullets out of the combination. Should be a heck of a bullet.

measure the inside of your jacket.
and then weigh a couple, add whatever the difference you need to the jacket weight to get your finished weight.
that gives you a diameter and a core weight to look for.

I use an 8mm mold NOE cut to 140grs to make cores for my 358-158gr jacketed bullets [using actual jackets]

I bought an adjustable core mold from u.p. north and make any weight core that I need.
