I am using Hot water, citric acid and armor all car wash & wax. I purchased a Frankford Arsenal tumbler drum which fits so nicely I plan to add a second drum to increase capacity.

No pins, just wet tumbling.....so the citric acid and the wash and was all together, tumbled for 15 minutes or so? How did you dry them? Those are shiny! Nice work.

Sorry, yes using Stainless Steel pins. .047x.25 (5lbs.), 2 Tbsp of armorall, 1/2 tsp citric acid. My original brass weight was 8 lbs of .45acp. Filled drum 3/4 full (1 - 2 inches above brass). 2 hours of tumbling, rinsed and dried. Dried on a towel in the sun while I cut the grass.

I was on board until the "cut the grass" part. Seriously that is a really nice build.

Very nice setup! Makes me want to build one to upgrade my old Sidewinder, tho it works pretty well for wet tumbling so far..

Can't always be fun and games, though I wish it could. Picture of tumbler not great due to shade from house. Made several mistakes in building but it does do a good job, everything was cost free except the tumbler drum, so I can not complain.

As an experiment(s) I tumbled some brass in water, lemonshine, and dish soap. Media was small stainless steel nuts and screws (#4 and #6) with a few 1/16" cotter pins included. Worked OK (I didn't care about pristine primer pockets). Later I tried tumbling with no media, just brass and solution. Results were OK. Exterior of cases was shiny. (I don't care about the ID). Next I tumbled with plain water, no media just brass. Results were brass just as bright as each other tumbling experiment; very shiny.

No moral, no suggestions, just sharing what I did...
