I got this mold in a group buy a little while back. This is the Ed Harris design/approved flat nose clone of the Lee 312-155. I finally got around to casting with it for the first time today. Like all my other NOE molds, it casts like a dream. I can't wait to try it in my 1903 Springfield and Mosin-Nagant. I'm also hoping it will feed in my 30-30 Model 94 and in my 300 Blackout. Anyone else grab one of these molds? If so what are you using it in, and how's it working out for you?

I bought a 4 cavity, 2 plain base, two checked. I have only cast a few hundred bullets with it and am still getting too many rejects percentage wise. The acceptable ones I have measured drop at .313" and look very uniform and nice. I have tried the checked ones with Hornady and home made aluminum checks, and have fired them from a couple of different Springfields sized to .311", lubed with Ben's Red and over coated with BLL. Generic load in G.I. brass equals the Lee 312-155-SP of 1.5" to 2" 10 shot groups adjusted to 100 yards. The bullets I have cast are very compatible with .014" aluminum flashing checks, as they stay on better than on the Lee bullet.

I have the HM2 .312-160-5 version of this bullet from the original group buy and use it in my M1 Garand with 40 grs. of IMR4064. This is NOT a match conditioned rifle, but an ordinary "rack grade," as-issued rifle from the CMP. The cast loads shoot as well as HXP Ball M2 ammo from the CMP

Outpost75, that is good to know. I have two hungry Garands as well. I will give it a try in those as well. Looks like you've got a good load there, I assume you are sizing to .311?

Does the 314-160 Harris design count? I got this 4 cavity GC mold as part of the resent group buy from NOE, too. Originally I only planned to use it with my SKS's. Now, trying it in my Mauser FR-8 7.62x51 (.308), also.

It counts! I just wanted to find out what some of the others are using it in. It is a good fit for sure in the throats of my 30-06 rifles.

works in many of the 31 cal rifles, 30 cal semi-auto rifles, and some 30-30 applications [savage 340] too.
