VZ-24 update Its done!

Well its finally finished and it looks good. as a bit of a side note i shoot alot of plainbase boolits out of my 1903 turk for 100 yard plinking and i have found that the 8mm round seems to be able to drive Plainbase boolits at a respectable velocity without leading or accuracy loss. your results may vary.

With a scope they can compete in the "Sniper Match" team event. VZ 24's are allowed and you could use a Weaver K4 scope or one of the originally issued ones your current scope probably would not be legal Rule 6.2.1

With iron sights, you could compete in any of the vintage military rifle matches. In these matches you could use a M1907 leather or M1 web sling if you modify the swivels or sling clips to fit Rule 4.2.5.

Remember that bedding, shims (unless originally on the rifle from that country) etc. are not permitted in CMP sanctioned games.

Thanks Dave, no shims or bedding, the only mods were the scope, mounts and bent bolt,

Edit: just looked up that weaver scope and still picking my jaw up 180-300+ for a 4x, but i agree with the wife, have to pay to play

There are tons of older Weaver K4's on Gunbroker and EBay for less than $100. Look for a reputable seller and go for it. No reason to pay top dollar for a new one for this project.
