partition type bullet

I am wondering if any members have made a partition style bullet. Here is what I am contemplating doing for my 9.3x62
Take a 223 case, cut down to 1.1" and size it down to be a suitable 366 jacket
take a 32 caliber bullet jacket, seat a lead core into it, slightly longer than the jacket length to have some exposed lead. I will seat it so that the lead will face the flash hole and the bottom of the jacket will face the front of the 366 bullet.
I will than seat that 32 cal "bullet" into the 223 case
seat an additional core on top of the 32 jacket.

Anything I should be aware of? Any tips? Is this a recipe for disaster?
Part of me wonders if I should maybe bond the bullet as well. I am thinking that this would be a relative durable bullet with the 32 caliber partition.

Yes, I've done it with conventional jackets for 308, .257 and .452. I use a shortened 22 rimfire jacket on top of a seated short core in the 257. The RF jacket has it's own short core that I seat after inserting on top of the other seated core. It makes a cool looking brass tipped bullet that is also very deadly on deer. I've taken two with them in 25-06. They are kind of labor intensive though, and everything has to be done just right when core seating. You can use gas checks in the others for your partition.

Fired small primers will make a partition in a .224 jacket also.

I would bet a gas check would slip inside the case/jacket, melt the bottom core with the gas check on top then put the top core in, in the core seat die to squish everything up together.

ron did you make the 22 Reed express? I somehow ended up with a set of dies for that caliber but no gun

Yes sir. The .22 Reed and its kin (.14, .17, .20, and 6mm) are all mine.
