Buddy of mine has a 4# bottle of sr4759, a powder I love, but he doesn't use. What would be a fair price to offer him?
I don't know what a 4pounder went for when it was around.

Well I consulted the archives. In the 2010 Natchez catalogue it was $65.49/4 pounds. In the 2012 Graf & Sons catalogue it was $21.99/1# and $147.39/8#.

If it is unopened I'd offer $50-$60 dollars for it. I'd use the higher number if it's a really good friend.

I really need to clean out the reloading room.

I'd trade him 4 lbs of whatever powder he uses.

Try the "IMR" or "H" versions of 4227 if you don't score any SR4759.
Just a thought.

Thanks guys, he is a really good friend. I was actually trying to trade powders with him, but I don't have a lot of the stuff he wants.
