I have a TC Encore which I bought with a 7mm-08 barrel and stock set, and a .50-209 Barrel and stock set (composite). I have since bought a 6.8 Remington SPC barrel and a .338 Federal Pro-Hunter fluted barrel.

My question is what forend I would need for the .338 Federal barrel. I'm sure the 6.8 SPC barrel would take the same forend as the 7mm-08, but I don't know whether the .338 Federal is classified as a "heavy barrel", or not.

Anyone with knowledge, I'd appreciate letting me know. I do know that the .33 Win Mag is a heavy barrel, but the cartridges are hardly similar in other than bore size.

Thanks in advance. I'll try asking TC, but I suspect this forum will produce an answer quicker.

your rifle's will use the same forend if the 338 fed is a heavy barrel just open the Chanel up a little just rap some sandpaper around a 3/4 socket
and sand it till it fits
M/L and shotgun's use referent forends

Since you have the barrels and the forend just try to fit them up. There are several models of barrels for centerfire barrels. Tapered, heavy and Pro Hunter.
