I don't post here too often but follow lots of threads. I've been wanting to cast some boolits for my 45-70 Guide Gun for over a year. Today I took the time to do it, Happy Fathers Day to me. Lee 4-20 Pro Pot (bottom pour) and a Lee 2-cavity mold. 338 shoot-me-up gems (~16 pounds of lead) just begging to go to the range with my youngest daughter. I will lube these with Alox and load them up light ~ 1700 fps and have some fun.

Wow. If 1700fps is a light load in a 350-405gr class boolits in 45/70, I'd hate to see your idea of a good time! :kidding::kidding:

Glad you enjoyed your day. They look great and spending time with your daughter is the greatest gift a father could ever give them.

Yep. It's a special day, and though I haven't done any casting today (yet?), I had dinner at my son's river house and he's a REAL chef when it comes to fryin' up a good mess'a fish. VERY satisfying, and I'm at peace with the world after a good meal like that. Got to let 'em all know that its family like them that provides the satisfaction that can come from bein' a father. Anyone can have a kid, but it takes good kids and progeny to make it all worth while. We parents forget to let them know this sometimes.

Since my wife was away on a cruise for Mother's day the both of us went to Ruby Tuesday's yesterday to avoid the crowds and had an enjoyable meal. Today got chicken and taters with stringbeans for dinner, and no crowds. Frank
