I just picked up a 9mm cloan of the M1 carbine. Just wondering if anyone has any pet loads for a 9mm using an 18 in barrel and blowback action. I already cast for some other cal. but this is the first for a long barrel.

thanks in advance

If it is a Citadel, I have that rifle. Mine is very accurate with heavier boolits. I haven't shot any jacketed through mine yet and I have not slugged the barrel. Since my 9mm pistols require .358 sized boolits, I just use those in the rifle. They feed just fine for me.
So far I haven't had a speck of leading in over 500 rounds through it.
In mine, any medium to heavy load with a 135 grain or heavier boolit works fine. My best accuracy was with a Lyman 358212 145 grain round nose. Nickel size groups at 25 yards.
I just recently got an NOE 258-155-TC RG4 that I haven't had time to test in the rifle yet but I have high hopes for it.
Any of the slower powders work for me.
Longshot, Herco, AA7, CFE pistol, HS6, SR4756, and WSF all work just fine.

Pay attention to your rear sight. Mine shook loose after just a few shots. I replaced it with a red dot and have had no issues since.
Here is the link to the thread I posted about the 9mm carbine I bought.

I have one like above. Love it!

I use 3.8gn ETR7 for excellent action. Or 3.6gn Titegroup. Using a 138gn NLG sized to 356. PC on everything for no cleaning and leading.

1st thing I did is take off the peep and put on a good 3x9x40 scope.

Now looking for some B----I----G mags for it. 10 is just too small. Big gun show coming up Saturday.

I have a Hi-point which operates on the same principle.
I know 3 grs of red-dot will operate it 100% of the time with the HM-2 9mm mold. [so will 3.8 grs of 231] it comes in at about 130grs, it will also operate just fine and is about as accurate with a 125gr rnfp boolit with an oal of .95.

I use .358 as my 9m diameter.

Runfiverun, do you size your .358 to .356? How are you lubing this? I also have a Hi-Point and am considering a Lee .358-124rnfp (plan is to also use this with .38 SP). I am also partial to Red dot (it's what I have on hand). Thanks!

Lee 358-105 over 4grains of Promo/Red dot. Works great in my 995 carbine and my pistols.
