I am new to the swaging world and have scene little tidbits about pinch trimming can you guys explain it in a little detail as well as what equipment I need (besides standard swage die and the Walnut hill press on order)? Is it a quick process or are there quicker ways to trim drawn jackets?

Thank!

Pinch trimming is done with a punch/die set that has some caliber specific parts.
It also can give you an accurate, adjustable, repeatable length, with a cut square to the jacket body.
I am not smart enough to tell you if it is the fastest process to cut jackets.

probably the fastest most repeatable way there is.
the initial set-up takes a little bit of work, but after that it's one pull of the handle to one jacket.
you actually pinch the jacket between the stem and the die body that's where the set-up time comes from.

Who would you guys recommend to buy from? What would a fair price be? Can I get one die with multple caliber inserts or one for each caliber?

Goblism do you have a preference to which corbin you prefer? What did they charge?

I prefer my RCE set. I bought them used from a member here. He gave me a good price on them.

I don't own an S press so any if the walnut hill stuff I prefer over the S press dies
