If I would have been 5 minutes earlier I could have had much more. Not bad for 7.00;)http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/20/d53c67be08439ae83511deec44b7ce63.jpg

Yes, nice score! Any idea how much weight? Looks like at least 10 lbs.

I had a dismal score today at the yard sales. Just one creamer ($1) and a small pitcher ($2) for 1.39 lbs total.

I ended up with 8.8 lbs of clean shiny ingots

was it a yard sale?

Yes, garage/yard sale. Also had a woman drive two hours to bring me 430lb of cannonball weights. This was mostly pure lead and one cut up pig of Linotype. Pretty good day.

I came up dry for pewter at my last visit to Sally Ann's......but on my way out I saw a set of Corelle in the pattern my wife has recently chosen. 44 pieces for $4.99. Since SWMBO was in the car, I invited her in to check it over and we checked out with it. A few were damaged on the edge, but she kept some and shared more with her cousin who uses the same pattern. My hero status is enhanced for sure.

If I found a charm sized piece, I'd be happy. Pewter simply doesn't exist here. What few pieces offered, are priced above pure silver. Everything is a valuable antique.
