There used to be an albino doe back home. Everyone that hunted in the area was extra careful hunting where she lived. Also, during deer hunting there was normally someone from the DNR keeping an eye on thing.

We all hoped that she'd have albino fawns, but never did.

Quite common at Edgewood Arsenal, MD, home of the Army's Chemical School for many years.

Glad they are taking care of her! I had a neighbor who raised deer, some were so tame they weren't even penned. They would follow you around like a dog, knew a few commands...

I had one on the farm a couple years ago. She was white up to her knees on the back legs. Had 2 fawns with her all summer. I know she made it through deer season but haven't seen her since.

More importantly, how do they taste?

Ok, I had to ask...

Saw a buck that was white from the neck up back in 1998. The wild part was this was on Foxhall Rd. in Washington, D. C. where a lot of the older "Mansions" are located.

Piebald deer can be rather neat in appearance. I've had the pleasure to see a few.

same as a traditional deer according to a thread I saw over on a GON (GA outdoor news) forum years ago. I couldn't verify it or vouch for it personally.

I agree with the comments, it is almost impossible to find an animal rejected by it's mother because of it's looks. I believe someone stole a fawn.
