I am back for another round fellers ... :bigsmyl2:
so moved to Oregon and the blackpowder [muzzle loader] season here says OPEN ignition and CAPS or FLINTLOCK only ... NO 209 PRIMERS.
so have this Encore and got to wondering if I could mill off the breech plug TOP to expose the primer area ... AND drill and tap for a musket nipple so as to use the caps needed to be accurately legal?
the Knight rifles with the cap nipples are legal being a cap/percussion ignition AND open to the weather ... kinda like I want to make the Encore breech plug.
anybody heard of this operation being done to legalize the Encore for these type regulations? if so how did it work with the firing pin setup currently used in the Encore action?
