I have 3- 80+ pound ingots of this, the price was right at free. Had the local scrap yard shoot it with a gun this is what they came up with.
LEAD.......... 88.93
BISMUTH.....4.28
ANTIMONY...3.77
TIN.............1.90
Any suggestions to a lurker would be appreciated.....CW

It should make good bullets as is, or you can look at the alloy calculator for ways to alloy it with something that you already had. Good Score!

With the bismuth I would think it should be perty hard.

Excellent mix! Bi will lower your melting temp just a bit. No big whoop.
Cast as is and shoot!

Looks like you are in Michigan. Where can we meet so you can share? :) :) I'll even buy lunch and pay for your gas, keeping your half FREE! :)

Thanks....I guess I'll just shoot it to make sure it doesn't get in the wrong hands.
It does seem pretty hard, if you break a piece of it there's seems to be crystals, hit a ingot with a hammer has a ring to it. (my ears ring all the time any ways)

I'd cut it with pure lead that's too much hardening agent in the alloy.
bismuth needs tin to control it's brittleness.
get the Bi-Sb content down to about 3% [total] and bring the Tin [Sn] content up to about 1% and you'll have a good alloy.
