what I want. Picking up the Encore in a few minutes, 500S&W barrel and 45-70 barrel. Now I'm dreaming of one in 9.3x74R, but TC doesn't list one and I can't seem to find one anywhere else, either. Granted, I'm not good at computer searches, and I know I can't currently afford a custom one.

If one has a tendency to lust after new calibers, at least getting a T/C Encore is the right rifle to have. I have half-dozen calibers for mine, and am always looking for something else. Dang, you think a guy would be satisfied after a while, but it don't seem to work that way. Oh well...

Well, the good news is that the 45-70 barrel measures .4575" grove and the 500 S&W measures .5015". The bad news is that neither Lyman or RCBS makes a lube die of .502 or .503". I ordered the .501 and will use 600 grit sand paper and a dowel on it.

I told LOML that we'd be perfectly safe if big animals attacked one at a time!
