I have a model 70 in 250 sav. Its the light weight carbine and was made I believe in 1986. I know not many were made. I bought it new back then for 250 bucks (should have bought 5 of them!!) I think I remember that either 500, 200 with open sights but im not sure. Anyone know the answer?

I'm guessing you've already read the Blue Book entry on your carbine, pretty sure I've never seen one so would guess there aren't many around. Sadly it probably doesn't interest many of the collectors so may not be much written about them. I'm guessing it's a push feed. Sounds like a nice rifle, how's she shoot?

where did you find that blue book? its a great shooting little rifle. yes its a push feed. One downside is its a 1 in 14 twist like the old savages so bullets around 90 grain do there best. That little rifle has killed a pile of deer with 87 grain sierras and 87 speers. It shoots either of those bullets moa with the right load. Ive heard of collectors paying around a grand for them but that's internet talk. Ive never seen it in person. Its no big deal because its not for sale anyway. I might even take it back out this year for deer season. Its probably been 10 years since I shot something with it.
