Does the Marlin 336G in 30/30 have Ballard or Micro groove rifling. I sent an email to the Owner with this question and have yet to get a response.
Thanks

Do you possibly mean a 336ZG ?

The ZG being the commemerative edition for Zane Grey with a 22" octagon barrel and a brass buttplate , forend cap and medallion on the ejection side of the action .

If this is the model of which you speak , it IS micro grooved !

And if it is not please elaborate more on the looks of the rifle . I am unaware of a model 336G .

I do have a model 36G Marlin "Glenfield" and that one is also micro grooved .

Thanks for the reply. I do indeed believe now that this one is a Micro groove.
I will keep looking. Hopefully i will find a cast bullet rifle that will not break the bank.

You shouldn't let micro groove turn you off !

I have a number of rifles that are micro grooved that I shoot cast in with good to great results !
