View Full Version : Tin/Antimony Alloy
I have a quantity metal in ingot form which was supposed to be tin. There are indications, however. that the metal may contain antimony. What I am wondering is this: can antimony be separated from tin in the process of melting/fluxing/skimming? This may seem like an odd wish but I need tin much more than I need antimony fo most of my casting and given the price of tin these days I wish to be able to use what I hve.

if its tin babbit you have the antimony content isnt enough to cause an effect on your bullets if you use it as straight tin and only add less then 5percent tin to your mix.

I see a trade in your future. You can go down to the Swapin section and trade your antimony bearing tin for straight tin I'll bet.
