The old #18 shell holders for the 43 Mauser were found to be too thin and were causing the shell holder rim to break off during the reloading process. We have since modified the #18 shell holder for the 43 Mauser. While we only modified the shell holder by .015", we have found that there could be possible head space and chambering issues, all though it is rare. If you find that you have chambering issues because of the head space, please return the die to us and we will modify the die for you at no charge.
