Conventional wisdom says size to .002" over groove size, but cognoscenti say size to .0005 " under throat size - do a pound cast and see what the throat looks like, and size accordingly.

0.356 seems a little small. I size mine to 0.359 in my Marlin.

I size mine to .359 also and have no problems.

.359 or larger. Microgroove barrels like larger bullets if you want them to shoot well.

I had a mold made at mountain molds to have a 354 bore rider and fire-lapped the short throat.
There is light engraving as the bolt is levered shut.
It's a 215 grain GCFN.
It has shot 1 inch at 100 yds using Viht-133.
Got a buck with it and left a very good blood trail for around 80 yds where it piled up.
It's a 20 inch MG cut to 16 inch and is my favorite brush gun.
MG barrels like a tight fit and the BR gives a lot of supported length for the boolit.
I size .359 also.

My first test was a .359 boolit, 20 years later it still is.

From my experience with them, size as large as will chamber freely. Mine takes a .361" boolit with no issues, shoots faster than factory velocities, and is free of leading. I did lightly firelap my barrel. No idea what my bore slugs at. :)

I suspect the measurement, Marlin barrels are usually larger then that.
