Had the wife out to the range today, she has officially graduated from the 50 yrd line.
She is shooting a H&R 1871 target, has a Lyman hooded front and Pedersoli vernier on the back.
Lyman mould #378674 330 postel, 40 gr. Graf & Sons FFG, 2 .030 fiber wads, SPG lube.
She shot some tight little groups and was grinnin" ear to ear .

Thanks guys, what I've been learnin' here is what got us to this point...........

Glad to hear of success 1st range test is a start the 10th range visit with a given load is success. One group does not prove or disprove accuracy. But a series of groups fired over time and diffrent conditions does. The Lyman 330 grn bullet is ussually a good performer. What distance was she shooting today?

50 yrds, then to 100. Windy as heck out there, but she was keeping them on the paper at 100. She was encouraged, and that is what it takes. Kinda fired up now..............

Uou deserve alot of the credithere also as you have been working at this for awhile and oerservering thru the rough times. With success here others will come quicker in BPCR its different than smokless modern cartridges and with successes and experience you learn what your seeing on the target and the fouling patterns along with other things.
