Which weight would be better for the Swede and Carcano?
The 163 gr or the 145 gr?

It will depend on YOUR rifles. They're all individuals. Better to get both molds if you haven't done a chamber pound slug. I found that I couldn't chamber a NOE 145gr in my M38 Swede, YMMV. The NOE 145gr drops just over .266" on the bore riding section of the nose. The NOE 163gr, at least on the drawing should be at .265".

I can't comment on the Carcano, I don't have one. I recall that they have a gain twist and are supposed to be better served by shorter boolits but, no experience there.

They don't all have gain twist...I have a M41 carcano that does very well
with the Lyman 266469 143 gr. that drops at .269

My Lyman 266469 only drops at just shy of .266".

Have you seen this group buy?

Yea, I'm in on the 270-163-FN (GC) there working on.
It should be a good one.
