Just staggered back upstairs after measuring some 43 Spanish from Captech (via Buffalo Arms). Very consistent.

Neck thickness: .010
Head diameter: .513
Case Length: 2.243
Rim Diameter: .595
Rim Thickness: .083

I was a bit flummoxed on measuring the rim thickness at first. It has a slight raised center. After wallowing in self pity, I simply measured case length, used the depth rod on the calipers, then MATH....

So... it appears this would fit into the Lee #17 shell holder. But my RCBS #22 will never know....

RCBS made the #22 shell holder in a 1" dia version in the late 60s. Find one of those after you blow out the top of your Lee shell holder.

I got an RCBS shell holder after blowing out 2 Lee shell holders. No more problems.

After blowing out my Lee shell holder I purchased two RCBS no. 22's. The replacement Lee shell holder was converted to a shell holder to fit the Lee hand priming tool. It required the base to be cut off and the centre hole to be enlarged. It works well for both 43 Mauser and 43 Spanish.

Yes, they are very good and strong. I was fortunate to get one of each style RCBS No. 22. The Lee one now functions as a case holder for the hand primer. It doesn't have to be strong in that capacity.
