Can someone tell me the year of Manufacture?

By 1943 i thought they started making guns for WW11 or the gun was made for training for the military. I bet they did not make a lot of them during the war.

Best info that I can find is that it was made in the 1943-1947 period, probably after the War ended. Colt had made several runs of revolvers during the war, both for the armed forces and for defense contractors needing firearms for their guards. Some of the frames were over-runs, made in 1943, but not assembled and finished until later.
