Its been sometime since my last post and also casting so today I pulled out my MiHec 308 Hunting boolite mold and did a few boolits. this was one of my best casting days I have had with this mold most of my trash ones were ugly boolits but I did notice one problem that I did have I'm sure you can see it in the photos. I'm not 100% sure what that part is called so not going to make up a name for it but I had a few boolitts that had that. I'm thinking I was running to fast and did not allow enough time for the lead to cool and that would be the problem? Other then this and a few ugly ones it was a good day next on to Black HF powder that post about putting the black BB's in to tumble is great and they seem to be getting nice and nicer looking each time I tumble another batch!

Don't know so thought I'd ask here and see what you guys had to say and what you think. Thanks for the help.

Let the mold cool a bit before opening.

I get the same defect with my mould if it is a little too hot I just slow the casting rate down and it comes right fairly quick, check the mould to see if there are any small burrs in the cavities I had a few not hard to clean them up, it's a great mould makes very accurate boolits.

Bullet is still to hot and you're tearing the bullet. It does it there due to the deep lube groove. If there is any flaw in the design that's it.
