That's right, the lead bug. Instead of throwing out the mess I made making and severely burning a saucepan, making a sugar syrup, I saved the airweight, extremely crispy, chunks of blackness. I threw the pan out and will try the mess, as a flux, when I melt some range pick-ups. :-)

You do of course realize that if your kitchen accident turns out to be the best flux ever, you'll end up spending days, if not weeks, in a frustrating effort trying to re-create that exact burn.
