Anyone try product called Creme wax? Found it at HobbyLobby while price checking beeswax. This stuff runs $6.50/lb and subjectively feels same firmness as beeswax. Thought about using it with petrolatum+little bit of JPW.

Uh! This stuff was labelled for candle making. Wouldn't think Gigi's would be appropriate either unless you had some wild n wooly boolits.140926

I will hazard a guess and say it is soy wax. Now I'm off to Google to verify...
Guess I was wrong:
Cream wax is a soft, opaque white mixture of paraffin and oils. Basically it's just paraffin that's specially designed to work very well in container (jar) candles.

Where do you get BW? Only place I found in my area ran $15/lb. That's why I was checking into the cream wax.

Forum member RandyRat sells it. Most of us buy our beeswax through him.

Thanks. Is he the beekeeper? I have a bunch of lamb fat in the freezer that needs rendered down. Maybe when the time comes I can do some swapping.
