I shoot gas checked boolits through my Taurus RB with ported barrel and have never had a problem. Maybe a muzzle brake and a ported barrel are different?

You could solve this if it happened by relieving the muzzle brake section of the barrel about .020" (moving the crown rearward of the brake). Cast and gas checks in a braked barrel should only be a problem if the rifling is still there and the bore (including ports) touches the boolit while traveling through the brake. This will reduce the effectiveness of the brake a little too. But it should shoot straight(er).
