It might be a shop made press.

I would caution that they say it's a reloader doesn't mean it is or was.

It looks kind of like a bearing press, used for pressing bearings into their seats.

Hope this helps.

Ferd, that's called an arbor press. The pictured press looks to me like a home made press and dies...

mdi,

I'm not Ferd! :<).... I know it's an arbor press, since I have one. It just looks to me like it's set up for pressing bearings, rather than reloading.

looks like one made to press bearings on small motor shaft like a hand grinder or drill

My guess would be a home made or 1 off shop built press Alot of arbhor presses bottle cappers were set up for loading years ago. This looks like a very nice rendition of some Machinist or tool and die makers home built reloading press.

Sorry Fred, fat fingers and poor proof reading! Didn't mean to "correct" you just clarifying a "bearing press" is the term often misused for an arbor press.

Since I didn't make the press in question, all answers are pure speculation (WAG!)...

All is forgiven, mdi. I was just poking fun.

An arbor press can be a mighty handy tool for straight up and down work and they can be adapted to a lot of different functions. Not knowing what the "dies" are in this case makes it hard to know exactly what this press was tasked to do.

Can't say what that press is actually for but it is not for reloading. No way to mount a die or a shell holder.

Agreed, not a reloading press.
