So why are so many of these "what is this" lead scourgers so totally unwilling to take a hunk to a scrap yard and have it tested with their x-ray gun? I do it all the time.

Only way to really know what is (close estimate) in there. I know the % makeup of ALL the many alloys I have in my stores. You cannot really use the alloy calc without that info.

Jim in my part of east Texas there ain't a xray gun at ANY of the scrap yards. Just an FYI.

i would do the does it work test. cast a boolit and see if it works

I dont think the pharoes possesed the knowldege sufficient to cast a cannon big enough to launch a human cannonball at that time

The chinese were using bamboo cannons. Just need a REALY big piece of bamboo.
