Nice details. For forming and loading, I recommend you take a look....

Sizing 303 Savage to .414, neck to .35, then to .375, then to .41 - trim to length.

"Jeff Munnell's advise about using 303 Savage brass turned out to be right on the money. The brass ended up being .001 smaller than the Wesson chamber and we didn't need to inside ream the inside of the neck"

I had to use 30-40 Krag and 444 Marlin for the 445 SM when it first came out. Looks like a similar process to get the 414 from 303 as the 445 from 30-40.

The original 414 and 445 had a case that was tapered from the research I have done on them. The current 414 and 445 use straight cases so the originals are not interchangeable with the new.

You mean the original chambers are tapered?
