I'm having no luck finding a mold manufacture that will make a plain base mold for 22 caliber bullet. I have written to several and have received no replies. It must be a cherry cut mold since cnc lathes cannot make anything that small. I'm TekPlating my bullets now and adding a gas check. They shoot great! I want to eliminate the gas check and lube groove in a custom made mold of about 55 to 60 grains. That is machined for Magma hardware.

CNC lathes will 100% for sure make a mold that small.
I have one in my garage I watched get made on a CNC machine.

you may have to do something extreme like take a gas checked mold to a machine shop and ask them to mill off the gas check portion from a 65 or so gr mold.
or talk to AL at noe he might be able to run you off one of his g/c designs without a g/c.
he will have to re-program one of his CNC machines a bit to do it though.

Don't we have a couple members who do custom work on molds to include removal of gas check shanks?

If the nose was shortened up to make a 45 grain for my 222 twist gun, I'd have already bought it. I designed and ordered one and it is in Hardline Industries mold selection here...

They haven't got around to me yet...

NOE was the only reply I received and he does not make 22 cal. bullet molds any more.

Bullet design looks like something I could use, but it won't fit my Magma machine.

you can make the magma pot into a hand caster you just have to build a little stand for it.
I made one from some small angle iron.
I can swap the pot back and forth if necessary, but since I have another master caster I don't need to.
