Hi Guys,

I'm a big fan of AA#5, especially since SR-4756 is going away as my medium burn pistol powder. Anyway over time I have acquired an 8lber of No5 vintage 2010(Montana), then a factory case of 10x 1 pounders vintage 2014(Montana) and recently picked up a deal on another 8lber vintage 2009(still marked Teneessee oldest). Obivously all different lots.

So since the last bottle I bought was now my oldest, I said let me check for lot to lot variation.

So with FC brass, my usual .432 LRN bullet to be fired from my Henry BB .44 with FED LP primers mild crimp, loaded the same day, back to back. All fired this morning 62 degrees 650 elevation across my Chrony.

9.5 grains of Lot pre-2009 1180 fps 9 SD 36 ES 30 rounds
9.5 grains of Lot 2010 1194 fps 8 SD 31 ES 30 rounds
9.5 grains of Lot 2014 1170 fps 8 SD 33 ES 30 rounds

So....results show NO variation from lot to lot .....the slight difference in lot to lot is easily within the tolerance of the chronograph. 24 fps cover all three lots. So over the 5 year my different lots are pretty close to each other.

Curious of anyone else's measurements of lot to lot.
