I have wanted one of these ever since American Rifleman tested them about 20 years ago and stated it was the most accurate .22 handgun they EVER fired, including the .22 shorts used in Olympic competition. 13 months ago finally decided to bite the bullet and spend the cash as they just keep on increasing in price.
Freedom Arms 97, .22 LR with extra .22 mag cylinder, 6 1/2 inch octagon barrel, polished and jeweled hammer and trigger and factory trigger job. Test target revealed a 1/4 inch group shot at 25 yards.140171

Congratulations, that looks like a beautiful gun.

Looks much better on the 97 platform than on the large frame guns. I'm not enough of a .22 fan to spend the cash, but I can appreciate a nice piece of work. Glad you got it :)

Sweeter than bear meat. I too am a sucker for flat sided barrels on any firearm. Enjoy!

Wow, congratulations!

I'd try an automotive analogy but I don't think any car comes close!

NICE !
Everything you need and nothing you don't.

I read that same AR article many years ago.
I don't know how they achieve that accuracy but it's impressive.
