Have a few, fairly decent knowledge, just wanting to bone up more on the variants, especially the Finns. Just bought a heavy barrel, Mod 28 I think, Bubba had done away with all the original wood, put on synthetic stock, sling and bipod. Good news he did not modify the metal work at all. Has a pristine bore, bright and shiny , sharp lands, grooves. Heavy duty sling. Sling and Bipod cost over $100 new, I am into the whole rifle for $150 or so. All replies appreciated.

What lefty said. Just don't speak of modifications on the "collectors" thread. You will get some grief.

There is a link on the home page that will take you exactly where you want to go.

I actually found that before realizing there was a forum. It's a pretty good group of knowledgeable people there.

7.62x54R.net is huge on it, A lot of info on anything M-N.

No mods/bubba/alterations. Will get you banned if a regular 'abuser'.

Socal Mosin is a good sight and there are many modified and altered rifles on that discussion board...it's a fairly small board and much is regional in nature but the guys are helpful and again, many modified Mosins are discussed.
