Wish I had a 6" barrel for mine.

4" does seem to be very accurate.

Seems to me I set the barrel/cylinder gap to .003 - .004".

Oh Pacmyhr or Hogue finger groove grips on mine also.

Strange my blued model 15-2 was more accurate then my S&W's so I got rid of them.

I had a 14, same pistol, blued, with fixed sights. Was my first revolver. Loved that pistol. I had a 4" and added a 6" heavy vent rib barrel for it. It was very accurate.

I am a fan of Dan Wesson Revolvers but I am not that up on the numbering. Is the 715 a stainless model 15?

I am very happy with my model 15 except the cylinder stop on the side plate came loose. On newer ones it is integral with the side plate.

over the years owned 2 model 15s, and a 741. shot many more including working loads for a friends .445 SuperMag. Accuracy is great, quality was great on all I ever got to examine. the Dan Wessons just never caught on around here so you dont see many locally

I think the OP is referring to recent production by CZ of the Dan Wesson 715 chambered in 357 Mag.

I am encouraged. There is actually an add on the CZ site. Used to be just a list of people begging for them to get in production. I want one! $1168. List

Sorry forgot the url. http://cz-usa.com/product/dan-wesson-715/

I guess this will drive up the price of used ones, eh. I still see them or did not that long ago, Mdl 15's that is, for around $500 and new barrels for around $100. It would be super cool if the new ones were better than the old ones :-) but that would be very tough.

$1,168 - holly cow - that's a lot for a revolver

$320 LIST more than a S&W for the ability to change barrels and have the cylinder turn the right direction.

It will be worth it IF the quality is there. I've spent more to finish a gun.
