I am having Chris (Lathesmith) make me several Star sizer dies and he requested I send him the center to center lube groove measurement for the Lyman 311299 mold. I haven't purchased one yet and would appreciate if one of you kind gentleman who have that mold, would provide me with that center to center measurement. I do have a Lyman 311290 I also want to size with this die (crossing my fingers that this mold will hopefully throw larger than .309 as cast) but haven't had the chance/time to fire up my pot and cast a few as my wife has deemed it more important I finish her "suggested" projects. You guys know how that goes.

Casting really does work better in low pressure (rainy) weather. Wait for a rainey day and claim it.

My 311299 would not make .310 n matter the alloy. I never tried pure lino though. I would not shoot my precious supply of pure lino.

I think the idea is to make it perfect for YOUR mold and alloy, not the other members.
