has anybody ever made their own using lee push through sizers. i came into a good deal on 11000 45 caliber half jackets. i have ch4d 101 kits in 44 and 45 caliber. would it be possible to use a 429 lee push through die with a ram for a 401 push through die to swage jackets down to 429. or would the ram for the 401 still be to big for clearance. i am gonna have to measure wall thickness of half jackets to see.

I am sure you can reduc the jackets but you will need to take smaller steps. Corbin's web site should tell you how much per step.

0.015 seems to be about my max reduction in one pass. Not only does it increase the force necessary to reduce more than that but it becomes increasingly difficult to have your punch centered in the jacket. When the punch is not centered you start making banana jackets. They are drawn more on one side than the other. When drawing 223 cases down to 308 the off center drawing is clearly visable. With 9mm to 308 it was even worse. Adding a couple intermediate draws solved the problem.

Blackmon offers ring dies for jacket reduction, However BT and Corbin offer different style Jacket reducing dies. Each one requires different presses and accessories and periods of time for manufacturing.
