Hi guys I am loading some Scot Solo 1250 in 44 mag under a 255gr NOE GC RG .431.
I am loading 10gr of 1250 for now and may load some warmer ones at 10.5gr. (I did get data from a thread on castboolits)
Any of you guys have experience with this?

Solo 1250 is slower than Unique and faster than Accurate No. 7, so it is an appropriate powder for experimenting in the 44. However, I've never seen any reliable data for this application. What speeds are you getting?

Have not fired a shot yet, should be in the 1100 range in my guess

Could be; I wouldn't try for any more than that with a powder this fast.

Well I got the load data from the site here, a member had posted it. That is all the data I have. 10.6gr was the max load for a 260gr bullet.

I believe its the same as aa2 or the pr200 surplus we used to get. I use a lot of it (still have 5 kegs left) I wouldn't push it any further then you are for 44 mag loads though. It seems to work much better at lower pressures. Personaly I wouldn't push it past a 1000fps. If your looking for 1200fps loads 2400 is where I would be. Much safer. Fast powders tend to spike in pressure when loaded hotter then they were intended to be.

I do not need 1100plus, this is just a plinker. If I wanted full house I would load some H110.

I guess I was saying id stick to 8-9 grains. that should buy you about a 1000fps

Wonder if I should pull the 10gr ones

if your shooting them in a black hawk or redhawk youll probably be fine. If a 29 smith id be skeptical. You probably aren't going to blow up a gun at that level but long term use would probably shake one loose
