I have a set of 30-06AI dies ive modified for use with my 8-06AI. I have a good fit in the seater die(i accidentilly sized some brass in it, it almost held the bullets!) Anyway the seater plug is deforming the tip of my bullets and I think I would like one just for the Speer 200gr hotcor as this is the only bullet I load in this caliber. Any ideas on where to get a plug of this nature?
clif notes version need 8mm seater plug for 30-06 die

Make your own with a close fitting seater stem and fill the seating end with hot glue followed by a bullet to make a perfect fitting custom stem. If it wears down, it takes all of about 30 seconds to make another one. Hot glue guns are sold in craft stores for about $5 Take care David

Want to make a custom plug that lasts much longer than the hot glue ones?

Use J&B weld instead. Same method, but the boolit will need to be coated with mould release. Paste wax does that job great.

Buy the quick set version. Make sure you coat anything you don't want the epoxy sticking to. Lee case lube works well for this application.
