Just got a new master catalog a few days back and just now was skimming thru it. I found .416 Taylor factory brass under the Norma ad for their brass. Kinda expensive for 25 cases ($61.78), but hey it`s Norma brass and it`s headstamped for the Taylor round. Besides it`s the correct O.A.L. for the case.Robert

Hi Robert, have you tried quality cartridge cases?

I've read that some Customs officials get agitated when the headstamp on your ammo doesn't match the caliber of the rifle you are bringing into their country. Having correctly stamped brass for your safari rifle seems like a plus.

My Taylor is a fine elk and black bear rifle. I use 7 mag cases for hunting and usually leave them in the hills to confuse someone who picks one up.

For about the last 5-6 years I have been making my Taylor brass from Hornady Mag. Basic brass. It is basicly an over long .458 Mag. case that you cut down and reduce the neck to .416. Using this brass I can make the O.A.L. anything I want and not have to settle for a short length case from forming from another cartridge. I used .458 Win. Mag. brass for many years till I started making my brass this way. I just wanted to bring the knowledge forward about MidSouth carrying Norma Taylor cases.Robert
