Whitworth came over today and cast boolits for his SRH .475. We loaded some ammo and went down to make some noise.
We shot the SRH and BFR .475's and my .45 Vaquaro. I put up soda bottles at all ranges to 50-55 yd's and we shot from my ladder stand. Unbelievable how we shot. We almost never missed and tore the plastic bottles to pieces.
That was way more fun then shooting paper. Next time I am going to extend the distance to 75 yd's.

Get the range where you can only hit 4 out of 5 times on a good day. For more fun, then, repeat on a 25-30 mph wind day when you are out in the wind as well, not just the target. Allow the "targets" to roll some when you pull the trigger. That really gives you confidence when you can judge movement right on the nose. Typical day at the river for me. ... felix

Best described as; therapy....

Will be going out to the range tomorrow. Will be taking the grill and cook'n up some deer steaks on the side. You can bet it'll be a blast!

It won't be all that warm (upper 40's) but a better day than today. Its been mist/rain all day here.

Anyway, today was spent around the load bench. Was a good day all-in -all.

:drinks: He is great company and a super shot too. We even spent time while down in my woods talking to Jack Huntington on the phone. Another great guy!
It felt good to just shoot for fun and the weather was great for a change. Then to go up, have a homebrew and just relax made the day great.
I sure wish I could shoot with more of you. :-D

First time I ever bought a gun and dies didnt follow shortly , within a couple days ..

HHMM when I get the 480 Marko ??

October I think , well it wasnt long before the house was finished , and I aint had time for much of nothin since .. We're still outta whack and probably will be for sometime .. I dont wish all that on anybody ..

Besides the least Marko cudda done was bought 'em for me , heck he talked me into the 480 anyways , I had my eyes on more moulds , wasnt even thinking of a 480 ..

Then we get to talkin on the phone , next thing I know here's the 480 ..

Yaeh, I'll take the blame for you getting a .480 -- I don't have a problem with that!! Plus, you got a great deal on it!
