First batch of bullets made. CCI 22RF cases. Made to 53 grains.

222. 100 yards.

222 federal brass, S&B sr-primer, Accurate xmr2015 21 grains. Oal 54 mm. Rifle sako 75 varmint.

Always nice to see happy customers and small groups.

How many shot group was that? I count around 8 holes? Maybe more?

For info, this first batch had over-pickled cases and were not smooth and shiny, but they grouped well.

Edited title to show this was with the 222 - the 22-Hornet tests are with a lighter cast boolit and for another post, sorry I got mixed up.

There might be a limit to the surface roughness on jackets, but swaging is still about consistency within the batch. Over-pickle all the jackets by the same amount and you should get the same result during your swaging steps and when they pop out the end of the barrel.

That is one tidy little group. :)
