View Full Version : Non-standard Lyman sizing dies

If one needs a sizing die that's not one of the standard sizes Lyman or RCBS sells, what is the best way to acquire one the proper size, assuming none of the standard dies are quite close enough? In this case, I'm talking about .366.

You can get one slightly smaller and hone it to the desired size. There are instructions for that posted here somewhere. This is feasible if you can find one within about .002" under size desired. You may need a larger pin if it needs to be honed more than that.

Buckshot may be willing to make one for you.

You can buy custom sizes from Buffalo Arms (they do the honing for you).

I think you can get RCBS to make one to a custom size.
