someone said you can use 357 dies if you size for 9mm , I know they are close, will they work, and what do you size to for 9mm 354?

A Marine friend of mine once told me that he had used British 9mm ammo in his .38 Special in Korea. He said he had to work over the rims with a hammer and chisel to keep them from sliding too far into the cylinder. I believed him until I tried loading a 9 into my .357. It only went about halfway in. The 9 is fatter at the base than the .357 (not counting the .357 rim.) I would not size 9s in .357 dies because of undesireable base expansion.
If "what do you size to for 9mm .354" means what boolit size, I size to .357." I bought a .356" die but it sizes to .357" just like my .357" die. Works just fine in my Springfield Ultra Compact. It's a good idea to slug the bore, YMMV.

Yes, it depends on the gun. My Rugers slug .356, but my Hipower is .357. I size .358 and they shoot well in all of them. Make sure the rounds chamber freely before sizing too large.

bigbird1, are you confusing a "mould" with a "die"?
Within reason, most .38 caliber cast boolits will work in a 9mm if the nose profile and weight are within the correct parameters.

I've shot a lot of Lee 358-105 SWC from 9mm. Sized .358. Works very well.

My thoughts as well I use a .38 super bullet in both my 9mm and .357 works great.
